He by Jan Twardowski

A shadow stopped
by the window
wandering clouds overhead
I'll pretend I'm not in
I'll forget
a knock
again I don't open
I think: it's dark late
Who is it? I ask in the end
Your God
sick with love unreturned

She by Sarah Fordham

God is outside!
Or is it just the wind?
I'll stay here anyway
I will not risk a stranger or a demander
My own company: a blanket of comfort
Man: such a curious creature
Who is He who wants me to be cured of my soul's sickness so that I can be well and in pain?
I'll not return His call
Not tonight, not anytime soon

... He and She by us both

A shadow stopped
by the window

God is outside!

wandering clouds overhead

Or is it just the wind?

I'll pretend I'm not in

I'll stay here anyway

I'll forget
a knock
again I don't open

I will not risk a stranger or a demander

I think: it's dark late

My own company: a blanket of comfort

Who is it? I ask in the end

Man: such a curious creature

Your God
sick with love unreturned

Who is He who wants me to be cured of my soul's sickness so that I can be well and in pain?
I'll not return His call
Not tonight, not anytime soon
