Noonday Shiver

I will not be afraid of the terror by night,
Or the arrow that flies by day,
Or the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
Or the destruction that lays waste at noon ...

When it comes
The windless shiver
I send it away
And am warmed by your wood
Burning:
Fire in the desert
Presence in my heart

Thank you. Your 'aha' begets other 'aha's as I page through the psalms and find there many experiences of night-time terrors and the noonday demons . A whole theme to track!

Psalm 106 vs 14 is interesting....' A craving seized them in the wilderness, and they put God to the test in the desert.
He gave them what they asked but sent leanness into their soul'
